Arte de Repujado
Repujado is the Spanish term for the fine art of metal embossing. It is similar to repoussé, the art of working metal in relief. Metal embossing is used in Mexico to adorn religious icons, books, candles, mirrors, paintings, even furniture. The traditional techniques become contemporary art pieces when used to embellish cards, scrapbooks, journals, boxes and frames.

Thelma has studied with the premier internationally-known repujado artist, Magdalena Muldoon. Magdalena learned the art from her mother who was trained by the masters in Mexico and Spain.
